More to Back Pain Than Meets The Eye

Back pain is a very common condition within the general population and is often accompanied by instability of the structures supporting the back. Sufferers very often experience pain which comes and goes, tending to worsen over time. According to a recent study, these individuals actually have proprioceptive problems in their spine. In other words, the muscles, ligaments and joints of the back whose function it is to stabilize and prevent injury, are unable to properly do their job. In a way, they’re acting as if they were drunk. This is why it’s vital to seek immediate and proper care for back problems. Once present, back conditions rarely go away never to be seen again. They require highly professional care, such as that provided by your licensed doctor of chiropractic.
