Back pain care in Bedford

Back pain is one of the most common reasons patients come to Back & Neck Care Center of Bedford, and many of our Google reviews are about it. One patient wrote that they had “lived over 15 yrs with back pains” and were free of pain around the third visit. Results vary from person to person, but every plan starts the same way: finding out what is actually causing your pain.

What we treat

Read sciatica basics if your pain travels down a leg, and back and neck pain after a car accident if it started after a crash.

How we find the cause

Dr. Richard Chatfield, D.C. starts with a consultation, a history and an examination with specialized tests. If your condition calls for it, x-rays are taken in the office. His continuing education includes Low Back Orthopedics, Radiology, and the Evaluation and Management of Hip Disorders, and in serious or complicated cases he consults with medical colleagues.

What customers say about our Back pain

  • “Best Chiropractor and staff! Dr. Chatfield has helped heal my body on numerous occasions. Pinch nerve in neck, scoliosis, tailbone out of place from sitting on my feet, SI joint injury, and back pain. I have ventured to other chiropractors closer to where I live with no luck. I always ended up going back to Dr. Chatfield. He is well worth the drive to get my body back in alignment and pain free. Blessed to have found a gifted, kind, caring Chiropractor.”

    Child Of God, Google review

  • “Caring for my spouse who has LewyBody Dementia requires that I lift him. My neck and back were suffering. Dr. Chatfield has brought me immeasurable relief. His staff are caring and efficient. Can't recommend this clinic more!”

FAQ

Back pain treatment in Bedford, TX questions

Still have questions? Call us any day and ask.

Request an appointment
  • When should I see someone for back pain?

MedlinePlus says to call your health care provider if back pain is severe or does not improve after three days, and to get medical attention for back pain that follows an injury. Loss of bladder or bowel control, or new weakness or numbness in a leg, needs care right away.

  • Should I rest in bed?

Not for long. MedlinePlus notes that staying in bed for more than one or two days can make back pain worse. Gentle movement, and the home exercises and stretches we give you, usually help more.

  • Can you help with sciatica?

Sciatica is a symptom of pressure on or damage to the sciatic nerve, often from a herniated disc or narrowing of the spinal canal. We look for the cause at your exam. Care may include adjustments and spinal decompression. Read our sciatica basics article for the warning signs.
